Words from the wise
Little girl: "I haven't seen you for a while."
Me: "I've been busy. Teaching other students; some are new, you know."
Little girl: "How are they doing so far?"
Me: "Ok. Most of them seem a little overwhelmed or stressed out by the end of the first session -- a lot of coordination involved."Little girl: "Hmm....but knitting is supposed to be RELAXING! Why are they stressing out over it?"There...true words spoken -- from a 10-year-old.
Working is a rat race.
Trying to excel in school is a rat race.
Crafting?
You learn it because you want to; not because you want to *beat* or *win* others.
So take your time.
Learning how to knit/crochet is no doubt a challenge for most of us since we mostly *unlearnt* our coordination skills as we grew older. Being tense does not help at all. Practice will make knitting and crochet easier over time. Take time to enjoy your crafting.
